Although all flies are included with Captain Scott's trips, the demand from clients to purchase his flies has lead to "the fly page".

Scott started tying flies thirty five years ago (he's older than he looks, folks!)

His innovative redfish and tarpon patterns have consistently caught fish when nothing else will.

FLIES FOR REDFISH AND SPECKLED TROUT

This is the fly that started it all.

For over fifteen years, the ORIGINAL Texas spoon fly that all the rest were copied from:

The "Epoxy Moron", more commonly known as "Scott's Spoonfly". This is just plain redfish crack.

Scott's Spoon is now built and sold by East Cut Flies through your local retailer, but you can get the original here...and customize it, just about any color or combination of colors can be built...this "fly" has caught everything from rainbow trout, to redfish, to striper...   Scott's all time fave is gold, the original has a rabbit tail for more action, but synthetic, or flash can be used for durability.

Other redfish and trout flies available are:

"The Spitter": A foam popper style fly that "spits" instead of "pops", it emulates the sound of a shrimp coming out of the water and doesn't spook fish w/ the standard "POP!"

Colors: What ever you'd like. Yellow is Scott's favorite.

"The Bumble Beeducer":  A yellow and black variegated palmered style pattern that will rack the super skinny water redfish.

"The Bumble Bee BEADucer": A weighted version of the Beeducer, for depths of 8 inches to two feet.

"Superducer" :A flashing version w/ the flash alternated in the hackle...any color/ size you want.

This fly ABSOLUTELY KILLS monster specs in hot pink and salmon colors!

"The Assassin": An eel style fly that when twitched, swims to the left and then to the right.

For blind casting and deep water trout and reds Scott also ties synthetic "clouser" style flies that will outfish and outlast anything on the water. Custom colors available, but pink/white and chartreuse/ white are hands down.

"Alby Smack Crack " is it...Spanish Macks (smacks) will tear this up as well....doesn't look like much...to us, it's small, sparse, and durable..."we've had eighty plus alby days on this fly".

TARPON FLIES:

"Texas Tarpon Tamer": is THE inshore fly for tarpon in our nutrient rich off colored water!

More tarpon hooked inshore in Texas than ALL other flies combined!!!

This monster streamer is a whole lot easier to throw than it looks, but it get's the bite!

"Crabby Rabbit" for lack of a better name is THE nearshore/ offshore tarpon fly of choice. A bit more like a Florida style fly, this fly is all about action, clean profile for better hooksets, fast sinking to hit a rolling fish on it's way down...Yeah, it's tarpon crack.

Only available in colors that catch fish!

Available in "J" hooks, or circle hooks.

 All redfish/ trout flies are tied on mustad hooks and tarpon flies are proudly tied on Owner hooks.

*Due to the high carbon (carbon=strong) nature of the tarpon hooks, please keep them in a plastic bag with a squirt of W40 on them to reduce rust potential.
